Medium Ikebana Vase in Verde
Medium Ikebana Vase in Verde
Ikebana is the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging. This simple, elegant, and graceful vase makes beautiful arrangements for any room in your house. It is especially lovely as a centerpiece on a tabletop, as you can arrange your flowers symmetrically and low enough to see over while dining. The attached stainless steel pin frog holds flowers upright and in place. and helps to extend their life by piercing the stems. You only need a few flowers, leaves, or branches—-collect whatever you find outside your door or along your walks and make a beautiful arrangement for your table or counter.
Glaze: Matte Verde—-an “aged copper” bronze green. This variable glaze reveals flecks of minerals in the clay and has a mottled surface. Its chemical qualities create slight color variations and surface irregularities. It is both sophisticated and rustic---very wabi-sabi (the Japanese appreciation of the beauty of unique variation). The pedestal is a graduated brown.. This arrangement is daylilies and hosta leaves from our yard.
Size: 8 in. x 2.75 in.
